An Investment that Can't Lose

Dear Friend of btc :

ballet tech cincinnati is changing the lives of urban and suburban youth and adults in Greater Cincinnati through diverse and innovative performance opportunities, community dance classes, Literacy and Healthy Living initiatives in Dance. Our socially and culturally relevant dance productions expose broader audiences to a totally unique experience.  In 2008-2009, we served over 15,000 audience members, the most diverse audience of any Cincinnati area presenter. Our excellent arts programming, focus on diversity and international appeal have fueled our unprecedented success, including:

  • Gala of International Dance Stars shines an International spotlight on Cincinnati USA.
  • 2008 Scripps-Corbett award:  ” ballet tech’s ability to master community outreach with young children” and ONE Award Finalist status confirms operational excellence.
  • High Impact Collaborations with Cincinnati Ballet Company, Success by Six, Center for Closing the Health Gap, WEB DuBois Academy, 7 Hills Neighborhood Houses, Cincy After School, Cincinnati Public Library, Kennedy Heights Arts Center, District A.
  • Wide variety of dance classes in our Kennedy Heights studios and in several public schools serves 100’s of students.  Many attend our classes on full or partial scholarships.
  • Young and adult community and professional dancers from extremely diverse backgrounds have professional performance opportunities in our Aronoff Center Series, making a positive impact on their lives.  One family member said,  “You will never know what ballet tech means to (our daughter)”. I believe it will be her saving grace. May GOD continue to guide you as you make a difference.”    A cast mother adds, “This was such a valuable experience for our daughter!  It impacted her culturally, racially and helped so much to build her self-esteem.”

Since our 2007 move, we have transformed our Kennedy Heights facility into an invaluable community asset for positive family oriented activities and revitalization of the neighborhood.  “This dance venue is a vital community asset…and a positive force” Senator Eric Kearney
