FEBRUARY 2009

Oh the Weather!
We’ve been on a weather roller coaster these last few weeks, haven’t we?   I hope you have been able to stay warm and dry with electricity, internet and cable, and not get blown away! Hopefully, we will not need to use it again this winter, but please tune into Channel 9, Channel 5, WCPO.com or WLWT.com for weather closings.  We don’t email or call for weather closings, but in the case of illness or other emergency cancellation, we will email and/or call to give rehearsal and class status updates.  Please make sure your email address and preferred phone numbers are in our registration system.

New Collaboration with Cincinnati Ballet
ballet tech cincinnati and Cincinnati Ballet Company announce a new collaboration to create more interest and audience for dance, expand community outreach and promote diversity. The two dance companies will pool their resources to create and present a six performance touring show for the 2009-2010 season. The performances will be presented at various church and community venues all over Greater Cincinnati to introduce new audience to the beauty and diversity in dance, showcasing the diverse cultures and styles in dance with dancers from both companies and from other companies representing a variety of cultures.

The companies will also present a diverse production by ballet tech cincinnati in the Cincinnati Ballet Kaplan Theater. We aspire to promote a lively exchange between audience members who are patrons of classical ballet and other dance styles.
