BTT is a non-profit community arts organization that strives to inspire a lifelong passion for ballet and the performing arts. We operate throughout the greater Akron area and compete in the Midwest from January to March. We welcome music and theater students who want to pursue a career in the arts, as well as minors and non-students who participate in productions. The Main Street Farmers Market offers an array of fresh seasonal produce, baked goods, flowers and live and cut plants, honey, and craft items such as homemade soap and pottery. They also provide free talks before the performance and offer free tickets to people from underserved groups and those with special needs. BTT offers small summer, full-day, and half-day camps and dance classes throughout the year.
Children aged 3 to 18 can learn creative movements, ballet, jazz, modern music, tap dancing, Pilates, and more. Scholarships are available and some classes are free. These engaging theatrical performances are designed to introduce students to dance as a theatrical art and improve interdisciplinary learning. These classes will introduce the art of ballet, with students learning both at the barre and in the center. Each month, students will travel back in time and learn about art from a different point in history through various art projects.
They offer mentoring opportunities, opportunities to perform and exhibit works of art throughout Columbus, as well as free performing, visual, writing or multimedia arts workshops. Auditions for all performing arts productions are open to all students regardless of class rank or specialty. The ETC Heid School of Musical Arts is a competitive community-based choral organization that serves students from the Northeast Ohio metropolitan area. It offers the Columbus International Children's Choir, art classes, music theory classes, and singing classes for children aged 4 to 18 from central Ohio communities. Artists participating in this program may be eligible to exhibit their works at a future exhibition at the Center for Cultural Arts. Blossom Performing Arts is an educational theater company dedicated to cultivating curiosity, creativity, and confidence in everyone through classes, workshops, and private tutoring.
The Riley School offers three-quarters of classes starting in September, January, and March as well as bands, workshops, ceiling dances, and other opportunities to listen and perform. It offers practical classes, workshops and summer camps throughout the year on gardening, cooking, fine art and wellness. Bradford Sadler has performed professionally as an actor on tour in the Midwest and East Coast at the Great Shakespeare Festival in Winona (Minnesota) and in regional theaters.
